Founder: Gwen Strain - Gwen has over ten years experience in community and political organizing, as well as community activism. Gwen's commitment to effect positive change and improvements in the communities in which she works is best illustrated by her past efforts to personally canvass her targeted areas, where she encouraged open and lively dialogue, and forged personal relationships built on respect and trust between herself and community members. Gwen would listen to the grievances of her constituents with an open heart and open mind, and would often enlist the support of neighborhood churches and community leaders to forge collaborative, creative solutions to growing problems. Some of her accomplishments include; coordination of the yearly Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in San Francisco, California, strategizing successful political campaigns for local politicians, including that of Mayor Willie Brown, and the successful lobbying she did on behalf of Visitation Valley Middle School, in petitioning for the necessary funds required to install security doors and cameras to increase the protection of grade school children.

Co-Founder: Tabitha Pulliam - Tabitha holds a Bachelor's of Arts in International Relations from the University of California, Berkeley. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Political Science, and a Bachelor's in Spanish Literature. Her research interests include peace and conflict resolution, global systems and world order, as well as the politics of ethnic identity in Latin America. Among her many talents is her aptitude to learn languages; she is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, and aspires to learn Arabic. Tabitha has traveled extensively throughout Latin America and Africa, where she has dedicated her time to the service of others. She has taught English classes in Argentina, and basic computer skills to youths in Lagos, Nigeria. Tabitha is currently working with Africa Vive (Africa Lives), an NGO located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, that fights for the political recognition and rights of Afro-Argentines.
